As its name suggests, it is one of the fabrics woven into gold leaf / silver foil, gold thread, silver thread with weaving threads and weave pattern so that the pattern emerges.
Until now, Kinran has been widely used for various Japanese products such as gowns and costumes, costumes of Gogatsu Ningyo and Hina Ningyo, buddhist tools, tea ceremony tools, kimono accessories, Noh costumes, etc. .
Traditional techniques are now attracting attention from overseas as “cool Japan”.
